Today I shipped out one of my girls...
Sara a blue-haired ballerina; day-dreaming under a purple sky filled with golden stars.
Sara is on mixed media paper, the collector commissioned Sara on canvas.
I have to admit that I was a bit nervous as I am sure everyone does when something special is requested of them.
I am happy to say that when the painting was finished, it looked amazing! I actually felt very proud of my work and feel confident the art collector will be pleased. I will be posting a picture of Sara with her new owners.
Even though I am happy to be able to sell my art to amazing people, a little feeling of loss comes over me when one of my paintings leave the studio. For some reason I feel like a little piece of me goes with the painting, since I do put my good energy and passion into each creation.
Once I get to see the picture of my paintings with their new owners, I feel relief as if the picture conveys and reaffirms that my creation is in a good home.
I hope I am not the only one that feels this way! LOL!
